I never grew up around horses, nor rode one beyond a typical kid’s pony ride, but being around them is magical. Beyond their obvious power and beauty, their amazing communicative abilities is said to release positive neurotransmitters in our brains accounting for happy feelings that we then feel. I can’t verify all of that but I know when around them I do tend to smile a lot.
